Five Reasons Why 2nd Amendment Sanctuaries Present A Huge Problem For Biden’s Gun Control Push
Pres. Biden Should Think Long And Hard Before Pushing More Gun Laws
Over the last two years, the 2nd Amendment sanctuary movement has grown and a strategy has developed: Move beyond mere symbolism and write laws and ordinances that forbid state and/or local law enforcement from assisting in any way in the enforcement of ANY federal gun law. Bills to this effect have been introduced in multiple states before any new federal gun laws have been passed and signed into law. Should this happen it is likely that a majority of states will pass such laws. How is this a problem for Biden’s gun control push?

The Real Reason Gun Control Groups Oppose Firearms Suppressor Deregulation

The Historic Ruling
On
March 29th, 2019, US District Court Judge Roger Benitez (known as
“Saint Benitez” in the California firearms community) for the Southern
District of California issued an order striking down California’s 10
round magazine limit. It is especially significant that this order was
issued in response to a request for summary judgement – which
essentially says that the case is so clear that no further discovery or
evidence needs to be presented. I’m sure that the California gun
rights groups that made this requests considered it a “hail Mary”
filing. Boy were they and everyone else surprised.

Scrutiny and How the Federal Courts Work
Basic orientation for 2nd Amendment advocates
First,
everything here describes the way things are now. They are not as
most of us wish they were. They are probably not the way the
founders would want. However, this is the reality we must live
with.
Before we talk about scrutiny, let’s review how the federal courts are structured:
District Courts – The lowest level of the federal court system, this is where the actual trials on the merits take place.
Circuit Courts of Appeals (3 Judge Panels) – Decisions of the District Courts are first appealed to these panels. Decisions of the Circuit Courts set “case law” for the area they serve – unless there is a conflicting SCOTUS decision. Thus if two or more of these courts decide cases differently, it is possible for Americans to have a right in some states, but not in others.....

The Real Reason Gun Control Groups Oppose Firearms Suppressor Deregulation
Why
Are Suppressors Widely Available In The UK and New Zealand, But
Heavily Regulated And Expensive In The US?
Firearms
suppressors go by many names. For instance in the UK, they are
called “moderators”. However, here in the US, they are often
falsely called “silencers”
- an advertising term from the early 1900s. This false idea that
firearms suppressors make guns so quiet that they can barely be heard
has been reinforced by decades of movies and TV shows. So, before we
can begin to talk about suppressors,
we need to talk about what they are and what they actually
do.
Joe Biden Announces Stealth Plan to End Gun Sales And Manufacturing In America
Pres. Biden
announced the plan today in a wide ranging video:
“My first day in office, I’m going to send a bill to Congress repealing the liability protection for gun manufacturers, closing the background check loopholes and waiting period that now let too many people slip through the cracks.”
Sounds reasonable doesn’t it? Unless you understand what it really would do.
Let’s look at the three proposals one at a time:
